Remember we are here to HELP YOU!

Here is how...

Continuing Medical Education:
We provide a high quality, reasonably priced, continuing medical education meeting generally held every January. The Winter Family Medicine Update normally provides at least 25 Hours of AOA Category 1-A CME and AAFP Prescribed credits. In addition, the event features a national update from an ACOFP Board Member, discussion on current legislative issues of importance to family medicine, and an exhibit hall where you can learn from and get updates from vendors who support family medicine.

Advocacy:
In partnership with the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS), Missouri family physicians have specific representation in the state. Missouri also has a voice on the national level through involvement on committees and boards at the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). Missouri sends delegates each year to the ACOFP Congress of Delegates.

Support Osteopathic Students and Residents in Family Medicine:
We continue look to the future of osteopathic family medicine by support and monetary grants to our students and the ACOFP chapters at our osteopathic medical colleges in Missouri. Also, we provide scholarships annually for residents in our family practice training programs in the state. These scholarships support residents who plan to practice family medicine in Missouri.

Leadership Opportunities:
You have several opportunities to develop leadership skills or provide your expertise.  These include joining the Convention and Education Committee, volunteering for the Board of Governors, attending as a delegate at the national ACOFP Congress of Delegates and applying to become an ACOFP Future Leader.
