Committees and Volunteering for the MSACOFP
The Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians serves a vital role in focusing on issues of importance to osteopathic family physicians in their day-to-day practices. Through volunteer service you can help serve the Society and the profession. Several opportunities are available to volunteer and serve.
We welcome your involvement! Here is how to volunteer:
MSACOFP Board of Governors
Meets three times per year (once in Jefferson City, at Winter Scientific and via conference call at other times). The board oversees all policies and the strategic direction of the Society. The Board of Governors is voted on each year at the annual Membership Meeting. See the current Board of Governors members under "Leadership."
Convention and Education Committee
The Convention and Education Committee plans the annual Winter Scientific Seminar. The committee works with the MSACOFP staff to suggest topics, speakers, special events, and also serves as Moderators during the seminar. At the conclusion, the committee evaluates and suggests improvements for the next year. The MSACOFP Winter Scientific Seminar provides category 1-A Continuing Medical Education credits through the American Osteopathic Association and prescribed credits through the American Academy of Family Physicians.
ACOFP Congress of Delegates
As a delegate representing Missouri, you attend the annual ACOFP Congress of Delegates and help shape policy for osteopathic family medicine. The Congress is held in conjunction with the ACOFP Annual Convention and Scientific Seminars.
