Women in Medicine Retreat

Strengthen leadership skills, recharge, and return to practice energized.

Friday, September 11, 2026
to Sunday, September 13, 2026

8 hours of AOA Catgegory 1-A CME credits (8 hours of ABFM Division I credit, 8 hours of AAFP Elective Credit)

This unique event has evolved from a long-standing tradition of women physician members gathering annually to connect, recharge, and support one another. Building on that grassroots success, the inaugural retreat will provide a structured, yet highly interactive experience designed to foster professional growth, personal well-being, and meaningful peer relationships.

The retreat will bring together women physicians from community and academic medicine, medical directors, service line leaders, residency directors, chief residents, residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and family medicine nurses from across Missouri. Participants will engage in leadership development, wellness programming, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, networking opportunities, and clinical education, while building meaningful connections with colleagues facing similar professional and personal challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, recharge, and return to their practices with innovative ideas and renewed energy.

The MSACOFP is an accredited sponsor by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The MSACOFP designates the 2026 Women in Medicine Retreat for a maximum of 7 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity. AOA Category 1-A credit is accepted by the American Board of Family Medicine as Division I credit, and accepted by the AAFP as Elective Credit. AOA Category 1-A credit meets the qualifications for the 30 credits required by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians for each reelection cycle.
