DiRenna Foundation Board

The DiRenna Foundation for the Advancement of Osteopathic Family Medicine was founded in 2018 by the Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians as a unique extension of Missouri’s osteopathic family medicine community.

Its mission is to create, endow and bestow scholarships, grants and awards to osteopathic students, residents, physicians or other entities which support educational, scientific or charitable activities and the professional development of osteopathic family medicine in Missouri.

This is done through generous donations from physicians and members of the osteopathic community, plus the generous sponsorship of corporate donors. Donations can be made in several ways:

Cash Donations - All cash gifts may qualify as charitable contributions provided the donor receives no goods or services in exchange and has proper documentation. We will provide donors with a written receipt for any cash donation to substantiate the contribution. To make a cash donation, click the button below.

Donate

Honor Gifts - Honor someone at an important milestone in his or her life. For instance, the birth of a child, a birthday or anniversary are ideal ways to give a special gift to that person. Simply complete the donation form here and a certificate will be emailed to you to share with your recipient.

Annual Giving - Planning an annual gift is an opportunity for you to donate to the Foundation to provide sustaining, on-going support for the mission.

Planned Gifts - The Foundation invites you to make a planned gift as part of your estate. This can be a gift of cash, securities, insurance, annuities, etc. Contact the Society at 573-634-4667 to get more information.

Memorial Gifts - A gift to honor the memory of a loved one, friend or associate can be an appropriate way to express a lasting tribute. If you choose to make a memorial gift in honor of one who has passed away, the Foundation will send a notification of the gift to the family of the deceased. The Resident Scholarship Program

The scholarship was established to help recognize and develop future leaders for osteopathic family medicine in Missouri. Each year, the Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to osteopathic family physicians in a Missouri family medicine residency program, and who plan to stay and practice in Missouri. The Foundation works in conjunction with the Missouri Society of the ACOFP (MSACOFP) to present these scholarships.

The Foundation is a not-for profit tax-exempt organization under IRS Section 501(c)(3) and is a Missouri Not-for-Profit Corporation.
