Active Physician

Osteopathic family physicians practicing in or living in Missouri may enjoy the full benefits and privileges of membership in the Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians! Stay connected with and grow your network of peers across the state, enjoy discounts on all education and events, and stay up-to-date on issues impacting your profession and your community. For new members, you may maximize your membership value by joining MSACOFP bundled with national membership with ACOFP. Join through ACOFP and check the box to include membership in your Missouri affiliate.

You may also join directly through MSACOFP by completing the membership application.  New physicians are granted free membership for the remainder of the calendar year after graduation from residency or fellowship.

Resident

Residents join free!

Family medicine residents currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited residency in Missouri are eligible to receive all benefits and services of active membership, and are exempt from payment of dues. Fellows who have extended their training immediately following residency are eligible for the same benefits. Residents and fellows may serve on committees and the board, as delegates to the ACOFP, and have full voting privileges as an active member. 

Resident members enjoy access to grant and scholarship opportunities, free on-demand education, free and heavily discounted events, and staying in-the-know about issues facing family physicians, their patients, and their communities. Build your network of peers, get connected with opportunities post-residency, and be a part of your professional community. 

Membership for family medicine residents is considered part of the "Academic Member" category per MSACOFP bylaws. 

MSACOFP also waives membership dues for new physicians for the remainder of the calendar year following their graduation from residency. New physicians in this window should upgrade their membership to Active Physician membership or join as Active Physicians.

Medical Student

Students join free! 

Medical students currently enrolled in an osteopathic or allopathic medical schools in Missouri are eligible to receive all benefits and services of active membership, including access to events, educational resources, and leadership development opportunities. 

Students benefit from networking opportunities with experienced osteopathic family medicine physicians, financial support through special programs, and learning about the diversity of family medicine from peers, residents, and practicing physicians. 

Membership for medical students is considered part of the "Academic Member" category per MSACOFP bylaws. 

MSACOFP also waives membership dues for family medicine residents. New medical school graduates should upgrade their membership to Resident membership or join as Residents upon matching to residency in Missouri.

Associate Member

Associate membership at MSACOFP is designed for individuals who are not osteopathic family physicians but are still committed to advancing the principles and practices of osteopathic family medicine. This membership category is ideal for allied healthcare professionals, advocates, and industry professionals who support the mission of ACOFP. Associate members can access a wide range of benefits.

Assistant Physicians/Transitional Member

Medical school graduates who wish to pursue family medicine but have not yet matched into an accredited residency program may join as Assistant Physicians or Transitional Members. This membership category ends two years after medical school graduation or upon matching to residency.
