Student and Resident Poster Contest

Family medicine residents and medical students are invited to submit their scholarly work for presentation at the Winter Family Medicine Update conference being held January 22-25, 2026, in Chesterfield, MO (St. Louis). 

The deadline for submitting abstracts is December 29, 2025.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by January 7, 2026. 

Accepted posters will be presented Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Louis at Chesterfield. All participants will be expected to give a brief presentation on their poster and answer questions posed by a panel of judges. Awards, including cash prizes, will be given at the MSACOFP Annual Celebration at 6:00 p.m., and all poster presenters are invited to participate.

All residents and students are encouraged to participate fully in the Winter Family Medicine Update by attending the Student Track (medical students) or the NextGen Leaders program (residents and early career physicians). Both tracks of programming are free and only available in-person at the event.

Special consideration will be given to participants who choose OMT or OMM related topics. All presenters will receive a certificate of participation.

Award Eligibility and Travel Considerations

Faculty members are not eligible to receive monetary awards; monetary awards must be divided among the students or residents involved in the poster. MSACOFP offers free registration to family medicine residents and medical students but does not offer travel or lodging. Poster abstracts are reviewed and poster submissions are judged by the MSACOFP Convention and Education Committee. All participants must register for the Winter Family Medicine Update
