Speaker bios: 

Melodie Stocks, DO is an obstetrician and gynecologist with a dedication to patient care and medical education. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, MI. Currently, she serves as an attending physician at Northeast Missouri Health Council, where she practices general obstetrics and gynecology with hospital privileges at Northeast Regional Medical Center. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Stocks has pursued specialized training in fetal monitoring, colposcopy, and ultrasound, further enhancing her expertise in women’s health. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Gregory McLennan is an attending physician at mercy clinic urology in St. Louis, Missouri. He is also a faculty member for the mercy hospital internal medicine residency and family medicine residency programs. Finally, he provides urology coverage at blessing hospital. He received his medical degree from saint louis university school of medicine in 2008 and completed residency at William Beaumont hospital in Michigan in 2014. Dr. McLennan is board certified in urology by the American Board of Urology.

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Identify who benefits from hormone therapy
  2. Explain risks and benefits of therapy to patients
  3. Instruct how to prescribe, monitor and discontinue hormone therapy for women
  4. Recognize appropriate situations to prescribe hormone supplementation for men
  5. Implement appropriate hormone supplementation methods
  6. Develop a plan to follow hormone supplementation appropriately with labs

Grievance Policy

All grievances should be in writing and specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to the MSACOFP and the Executive Director. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. The MSACOFP will resolve the grievance, if possible. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, they must then submit a complaint in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education, American Osteopathic Association, 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

Accreditation Statement and Hours

The MSACOFP is an accredited sponsor by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The MSACOFP designates the 2025 Summer Virtual CME Series for a maximum of 5 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

The AAFP has reviewed 2025 Summer Virtual CME Series, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 05/20/2025 to 09/23/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This session is approved for 1 live virtual AAFP Prescribed credit. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
